Project Manager

Role Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction or service projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and client specifications. The Project Manager serves as a key liaison between field crews, clients, and internal departments, driving project success from pre-construction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Kickoff
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with estimators and preconstruction teams.
- Identify prefabrication opportunities and manage submittals.
2. Team Coordination
- Assign and manage tasks for electricians, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular meetings with field crews and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation using RIVET software.
- Manage RFIs and ensure timely responses from A/E or CM/GC.
3. Scheduling & Logistics
- Create and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and equipment rentals.
- Track delays and implement change management procedures.
- Manage long-lead items and fabrication shop schedules.
4. Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor project costs and productivity.
- Approve purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor invoices.
- Issue SOVs and manage billing to clients.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure work meets electrical codes, safety standards, and client specs.
- Coordinate inspections and maintain QA/QC documentation.
- Obtain and manage permits and compliance records.
6. Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors.
- Provide regular updates to project executives.
- Address client concerns and manage expectations.
- Identify opportunities for additional business.
7. Risk Management & Safety
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and documented.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Maintain safety documentation, including:
- Audit reports
- Inspection logs
- Training records
- LO/TO permits
- Incident reports
- Verify subcontractor compliance with safety standards.
- Lead daily huddles and weekly toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
8. Project Closeout
- Conduct final inspections and manage punch lists.
- Compile closeout documentation (warranties, manuals, as-builts).
- Manage warranty processes and post-project evaluations.
9. Mentorship & Training
- Conduct monthly check-ins with foremen and assistant project managers.
- Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities.
- Collaborate with project executives to implement improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction project management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and construction practices.
Journeyman Electrician
Location: Fort Wayne, IN (servicing Northeast Indiana)

About the Role
As a Union Journeyman Electrician, you’ll be a key contributor to delivering fast, effective, and safe electrical solutions. You’ll work under the direction of a foreman, collaborating with a team of electricians and apprentices to complete commercial and industrial electrical projects with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and controls
- Interpret and work from electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Perform troubleshooting and testing of electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local codes
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite, adhering to company safety policies
- Operate lifts, trenchers, benders, threaders, and other hand/power tools
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to meet project goals
- Participate in daily safety talks and job hazard assessments (JHAs)
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Proficient in conduit bending, terminations, gear installation, wire pulling, and system troubleshooting
- Experience with fire alarm, low voltage, lighting control, and power distribution systems
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
